Description
The City of Vernon is requesting quotations for comprehensive operation and maintenance services at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, a 30-acre cemetery at 4311 Pleasant Valley Road. The scope includes turf mowing and trimming, litter and organic-material removal, irrigation monitoring and supplemental watering, shrub and flower-bed maintenance, fertilizer application, drainage checks, columbaria and furniture maintenance, floral-display management, snow removal and sanding, and maintenance of cemetery buildings and storage areas. The contractor must also conduct and document interments, maintain cemetery records, prepare graves and niches, provide cemetery greens and lowering devices, repair settling graves, install plaques and memorials, form and pour concrete bases, manage cremation-vault and grave-liner inventory, respond to public and funeral-home inquiries, and provide qualified caretaker coverage. The contract term is December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2028, with three City options of up to one year each. Mandatory submission materials are Appendix B, Appendix C, Appendix E, and Appendix F; Appendix F requires three similar work examples from the last five years and an equipment listing.
