Description
Boulder County Sheriff's Office is soliciting proposals for a contractor to recruit, hire, credential, train, schedule, supervise, and replace EMT personnel supporting medical operations at the Boulder County Jail. The contractor must provide continuous coverage for four EMT positions, operating 24 hours per day, seven days per week, including weekends and holidays, with two EMTs assigned to each day and night shift. Duties may include intake screening, vital signs, emergency assessment and treatment within the EMTs' authorized scope, CPR/BLS, patient-care assistance, specimen collection, documentation, medication-related duties when authorized, and communication with medical staff. Assigned personnel must maintain Colorado EMT certification, CPR/BLS certification, required credentials, background and security clearances, jail orientation and training, and QMAP certification when applicable. Proposals are evaluated on staffing capacity, vendor and personnel qualifications, secure healthcare experience, quality assurance, training and compliance, transition planning, and cost. The solicitation requires two comparable professional references from work performed within the previous five years and identifies insurance requirements including general liability, workers' compensation and employer's liability, professional liability, privacy/cyber liability, and sexual abuse and molestation coverage.
