Description
Ocean County is seeking qualified funeral home service providers for Orthodox Chevra Kadisha services associated with crime scenes, including removal, storage, and transportation of decedents' remains under the direction of the County Medical Examiner's Office. The selected vendor must be able to respond to any crime-scene location within 30 minutes of an assignment call and must have at least 15 years of experience providing Orthodox Chevra Kadisha services. The scope may also include funeral goods and services for the burial of unclaimed bodies and indigent persons, including cemetery costs and fees. Responses must describe assigned personnel and their experience and education, professional licenses and certifications, support staff, timely-performance capability, four professional references, a certificate of insurance, and all required vendor questionnaire documents. The solicitation states a one-year contract term beginning January 1, 2027, with project-specific contracts and purchase orders potentially issued for individual assignments.
