Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is soliciting quotes for 60,000 pounds of PR 1404 beardless wheat seed for farming operations that provide nesting cover and forage for wildlife. The seed no longer needs to be designated wildlife food grade but must meet standard agricultural seed quality and regulatory requirements. It must be packed in 50-pound bags and shipped on 40-by-48-inch pallets. Delivery is divided between 30,500 pounds for the Imperial Wildlife Area and 29,500 pounds for the San Jacinto Wildlife Area. The required delivery period is 14 days after receipt of order; October 1, 2026, is the agency's preferred delivery date. Both locations have tractors with forks available to unload palletized seed.
