Description
The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, Division of Soil Conservation and Water Quality, is soliciting sealed bids for the Paul Todd AML reclamation project. Work includes clearing and grubbing approximately 36 acres, debris removal, approximately 351,000 cubic yards of excavation, terrace construction, tiling, approximately 6,300 feet of terraces, approximately 1,900 feet of drain pipe, approximately 970 tons of Class E revetment, soil amendments, erosion stabilization, approximately 34 acres of seeding, and related appurtenant work associated with coal mine reclamation. The estimated construction cost is $1.2 million to $1.3 million. The project must comply with Davis-Bacon wage requirements. A bid security equal to 10% of the total bid is required. Work must commence within 14 days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed and be completed no later than December 31, 2027. Contract documents are available through the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship website, and bids must be submitted electronically through the Iowa Management of Procurement and Contracts System.
