Description
The Des Moines Metropolitan Wastewater Reclamation Authority is soliciting sealed bids for one new Kuhn Knight SLC 241 trailer. Required equipment includes an auto-lube system, hydraulic disc brakes, high-float low-profile implement tires, a swivel spade hitch, a 1,000-rpm drive kit with 1 3/4-inch CV PTO, and a 40,000-pound tow safety chain. Substitutions are not accepted, and the trailer must be new with the manufacturer's warranty still in effect. The bidder must provide manufacturer warranty information and regularly printed manufacturer literature describing the exact equipment offered. The electronic bid response must include the completed Insurance Carrier form, manufacturer's warranty, and required responses in the bidding system, including vendor experience, personnel information, delivery lead time, three similar-scope client references, and disclosures concerning litigation, disciplinary actions, liens, and conflicts of interest. The contract begins upon issuance of a purchase order and ends upon acceptance of the trailer and equipment following delivery.
