Description
The County of San Diego is soliciting as-needed abatement and remediation services at various County facilities and grounds through individual task orders. The scope includes collection, removal, transportation, recycling when applicable, and disposal of laboratory hazardous waste, biohazardous waste, blood pathogens, asbestos-containing materials, lead-based and lead-containing paint, mold-contaminated materials, contaminated debris, and related waste. Services also include general water cleanup, disinfection, containment, environmental controls, and disposal activities. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, supplies, materials, equipment, transportation, permits, and subcontractors necessary for performance. Related repairs may include fascia and drywall repair or replacement. The contractor must maintain a California C-22 Asbestos Abatement Contractor license with HAZ and ASB certifications, comply with applicable asbestos, lead, mold, hazardous-material, prevailing-wage, and public-works requirements, and provide 24/7 dispatching. Non-urgent requests require an on-site response within 24 hours, while urgent and after-hours requests require an on-site response within two hours. The anticipated contract structure is a one-year base period with two one-year options, and subcontracting is limited to 25% of annual contract value.
