Description
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing is conducting market research for a qualified small-business contractor to provide asbestos-containing-material removal and abatement services at its Eastern Currency Facility. The anticipated requirement is a three-year, firm-fixed-price blanket purchase agreement with individual firm-fixed-price calls. The contractor would provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, containment and decontamination systems, protective equipment, transportation, supervision, waste handling, disposal, permitting, and related services necessary for asbestos abatement. The scope includes site-specific abatement planning, containment and negative-pressure systems, worker protection and decontamination, air monitoring support, final cleaning and clearance coordination, asbestos waste packaging and disposal, quality-control planning, regulatory compliance, and emergency or urgent response. Key personnel must hold specified EPA/AHERA certifications and District of Columbia asbestos licenses; contractor personnel must also complete required background investigations before performing work.
