Description
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is seeking a qualified design firm for a 12,260-square-foot partial roof replacement at the Hoover State Office Building. The project includes replacing the existing ballasted roofing system with a fully adhered EPDM system, removing abandoned rooftop equipment and related items, resetting roof drains, and providing any required survey and utility coordination. The selected firm will provide multidisciplinary design, field examination, construction documents and specifications, cost opinions, code and regulatory coordination, hazardous-materials bid-package support, bidding assistance, construction administration, site observations, submittal and change-order review, punch-list and closeout support, and project management. Proposals must include separate Technical and Cost Proposal files; the technical proposal is limited to 30 pages, excluding dividers, the cover page, and resumes, and must not include pricing or contract exceptions. Professional liability insurance of $2 million will be required under the resulting contract.
