Description
The City of Bondurant is soliciting proposals from qualified tree care contractors to provide routine and specialty pruning for city-owned or city-managed street trees, primarily within public rights-of-way and other City-managed locations. The scope includes structural pruning, crown cleaning, crown raising, crown thinning, approved crown reduction, corrective pruning, removal of suckers and hazardous branches, debris hauling and lawful disposal, final cleanup, and restoration of disturbed turf or landscaping. Tree removal and stump grinding are excluded from the base scope unless separately authorized. The contractor must furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, aerial lifts, chippers, saws, rigging, personal protective equipment, traffic and pedestrian control, materials, and disposal. Work must comply with applicable ANSI tree-care standards, International Society of Arboriculture best practices, OSHA requirements, and applicable laws. The contractor must provide an ISA Certified Arborist, qualified personnel, appropriate equipment, safety and quality-control procedures, comparable project references, applicable certifications and licenses, and pricing for pruning by tree size, young-tree structural pruning, additional crew labor, aerial lift or bucket-truck use, traffic control, and mobilization. The selected contractor will be responsible for insurance, property protection, debris removal, and coordination with the City and utility owners.
