Description
Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), on behalf of Crown Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC), is issuing an advance notice of an upcoming procurement for the remediation of the FOX-A and FOX-1 former Distant Early Warning (DEW) Line sites on Bray Island and Rowley Island, Nunavut. The project involves the remediation of contaminated soils, hazardous materials, debris, and petroleum storage tanks at both remote Arctic locations. Work includes excavation, on-site engineered landfill, off-site disposal, capping, incineration of petroleum fluids, and decommissioning of tanks. Supporting activities include developing borrow areas, airstrip and road upgrades, establishing temporary camps, and barge landing operations. The solicitation is limited to firms registered on the Inuit Firm Registry. An optional pre-tender site visit is scheduled for July 26, 2026, with a contingency date of July 27, 2026.
