Description
Polk County Conservation Board is soliciting formal bids for Sleepy Hollow Sports Park Phase 1, including demolition of existing structures and site preparation at 4051 Dean Avenue. The work includes clearing and grubbing, excavation, over-excavation and structural fill, rough and finish grading, erosion and sediment control, temporary access, site restoration, water service and hydrants, sanitary sewer, stormwater utilities, drainage systems, concrete paving, sidewalks, stone-dust surfacing, exterior bollards, and a concrete retaining wall. The site will support a new lodge, maintenance building, Snowflex ski terrain, parking, drives, a constructed wetland, and related outdoor recreational areas. The solicitation requires electronic submission through the designated procurement portal, including a Bid Proposal Form, Bidder Status Form and Targeted Small Business Requirements Form, bid security, and acknowledgment of Addendum 02. A 5 percent bid bond is required; the successful bidder must provide 100 percent performance, payment, maintenance, and surety bonds and required insurance after award. The pre-bid conference is recommended rather than mandatory. Work is scheduled to begin after October 15, 2026, with estimated commencement on October 22, 2026, and completion required by December 1, 2027.
