Description
The New York City Department of Design and Construction is seeking a special inspector or inspection consultant for the CO295EV Bronx Housing Courthouse project. The scope includes evaluating installed conditions for compliance with applicable accessibility standards; identifying nonconforming elements and construction deficiencies; performing field verification using tools such as a digital camera, tape measure, and smart level; and preparing written reports with observations, measurements, photographs, applicable code references, and corrective-action recommendations. Reports are due to DDC's ADA Compliance Unit within seven days after each site visit. The required inspection categories include mechanical systems, fire-resistant penetrations and joints, sprinkler systems, post-installed anchors, and cast-in-place concrete. The solicitation also requires submission of staffing information, qualified personnel resumes and licenses, firm experience, two demonstration projects completed within the last ten years, Department of Buildings registration as a special inspection agency, Class 1 accreditation, laboratory qualifications where applicable, a proposed approach, unit prices, and a fee proposal. The total scope amount may not exceed $277,793.43, and the response must be submitted using the RFI Response Form as a single PDF file.
