Description
The City of New York Department of Citywide Administrative Services, for the Department of Sanitation, is soliciting bids for professionally installed tarpaulin covering systems for permanent and seasonal salt stockpiles. The contract covers approximately 100,000 to 400,000 tons of salt annually at up to 25 locations throughout the five boroughs, including self-standing piles and some piles requiring coverage over walls or blocks. Bidders must quote a single covering system or approved equivalent from the listed bid standards, provide required product information and pricing through the City's PASSPort system, and include installation, delivery, labor, shipping, insurance, warranty coverage, and related costs. The covering systems must meet detailed material, reinforcement, ballast, venting, shaping, and weather-resistance specifications. The contract includes a one-year renewal option, a one-year installation and material warranty, and requirements for relevant government-entity experience and references.
