Description
The City of Pembroke Pines is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to operate and manage its Building Department under a City-provided leadership model. The contractor must provide the Assistant Building Official, trade chiefs, plans examiners, field inspectors, administrative and customer-service personnel, and other staff necessary to deliver building permitting, plan review, inspection, code-compliance, records, reporting, and public-information services. The scope includes structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing plan review and inspections; permit intake and processing; certificates and licensing support; unsafe-building and building-safety inspection programs; floodplain and code-enforcement coordination; emergency response; customer service and complaint resolution; use and maintenance of the City's Tyler EnerGov permitting system; website and educational-content management; revenue reporting and reconciliation; and transition planning. The contractor must maintain specified service timelines, dedicated on-site personnel, required licenses and certifications, vehicles, equipment, technology, and insurance. The initial contract term is five years, with one additional five-year renewal term.
