Description
Hamilton Township is seeking part-time inspectors holding a valid New Jersey Department of Community Affairs HHS license. The inspectors will perform building, electrical, and plumbing inspections of residential and commercial structures to verify compliance with the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code and applicable local regulations. Responsibilities include conducting field inspections at various construction stages, reviewing plans, interpreting codes, issuing violation notices, maintaining inspection records, and providing guidance to contractors and the public. Court appearances may be required. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, construction and code-enforcement experience, and strong knowledge of building construction practices and code requirements; preference will be given to applicants with multiple Uniform Construction Code certifications.
