Description
The MetroHealth System is soliciting qualified vendor(s) to provide on-demand vascular access services at its facilities. The scope includes peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) placement, triple-lumen PICC placement, midline catheter insertion, peripheral intravenous access, port access procedures, catheter declotting, vascular access evaluations and assessments, related consultation services, and clinical education and competency training upon request. The contractor must provide services 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; maintain sufficient staffing for emergency and routine requests; respond at designated facilities; document procedures in patient medical records; provide required tip-location-system, ultrasound, and vascular-access equipment; and participate in quality improvement, infection prevention, outcome monitoring, and corrective-action activities. Minimum performance requirements include a 95% successful-placement rate, average response time of less than four hours, 100% documentation completion, and 100% orientation compliance. Personnel must be Ohio-licensed registered nurses with applicable BLS/ACLS certification, documented PICC competency, OSHA and HIPAA training, background screening, and compliance with Joint Commission staffing requirements. Proposals must address the requested solution, service-level commitments, key performance indicators, staffing and personnel credentials, pricing, subcontracting and offshoring, PHI safeguards, conflicts of interest, business conflicts, references, contract edits, insurance, supplier diversity, W-9 status, and value-added services.
