Description
Cleveland Metroparks is soliciting bids for ready-mix concrete supplied on an as-needed basis to various park, reservation, golf course, zoo, and construction locations during a one-year period from January 1 through December 31, 2027. Required concrete includes multiple strength and air-entrainment specifications, including 3,000-, 3,500-, 4,000-, and 4,500-PSI mixes, Class C, LSM 50, LSM 100, and 6.5-sack aggregate mix. Concrete must use natural sand and limestone and be free of calcium and foreign materials; pricing must account for delivery, minimum order quantities, and applicable transportation charges. The solicitation also requests pricing for additives and related services, including accelerants, hot water, synthetic fibers, superplasticizer, retarders, integral color, demurrage, short loads, environmental and fuel surcharges, and washout charges. Deliveries are generally requested on weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and noon, within 48 hours of order placement and preferably within 24 hours. Vendors may also be asked to accept or collect broken-up concrete. Estimated quantities are not guaranteed, and partial bids are accepted. The award may be split among vendors based on best value, including price, compliance, warranties, qualifications, delivery capability, and sustainability and diversity commitments.
