The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is seeking contractors to provide outpatient and emergency care services for residents of Wernersville State Hospital. The scope includes office visits, inpatient and outpatient surgery, operating-room services, anesthesia, medications, supplies, laboratory services, imaging, radiology, cardiology, pathology, endoscopy, cardiac rehabilitation, and other diagnostic services. Emergency services must include qualified physicians and physician-to-physician consultations, assessments, diagnosis, treatment management, and coordination of admissions or discharge when needed. The hospital will provide transportation to and from hospitals. The contract will have a two-year term with up to three additional one-year renewals, and the Commonwealth may issue purchase orders to multiple responsive and responsible contractors. Bidders must price services as a percentage of customary charges and submit the required Commonwealth attachments, including certifications, a services-and-billing form, contractor contact information, a location confirmation statement, and a list of outpatient and emergency services provided. Contractors must also maintain malpractice insurance and comply with applicable medical licensing, credentialing, billing, and juvenile-facility PREA requirements.
