Description
The City of Palm Springs is soliciting proposals for comprehensive parking management services at Palm Springs International Airport. The selected contractor will operate the Public Parking Lot and Overflow Parking Lot; provide management, supervisory, cashier, customer-assistance, and seasonal personnel; process parking transactions and revenues; maintain and support the existing and new Parking Access and Revenue Control Systems (PARCS), including the Parking Reservation System; and provide financial, operational, maintenance, customer-service, and performance reporting. The scope also includes shuttle bus operations between remote parking and the terminal when required, including vehicles, drivers, dispatching, ADA-compliant service, and demand-based deployment. The contractor must provide vehicles and equipment for patrol and customer assistance, manage parking-lot conditions and signage, train staff, develop operating procedures, support implementation of the new PARCS, and prepare technical and cost proposals. The contract is for three years with two one-year renewal options, and work is scheduled to commence February 1, 2027. The revised cost proposal requires separate pricing for management, shuttle operations, reimbursable materials, subcontracting, and seasonal staffing.
