Description
The City of Columbia is conducting an informal Request for Information to evaluate modern parking management solutions for nine structured parking decks totaling approximately 5,417 spaces, along with surface lots and on-street parking. The City intends to expand gated operations to all in-scope decks and replace aging access and revenue equipment that is approaching the end of its useful life. The requested capabilities include parking access and revenue control systems; entry and exit gates; ticketing, teller, pay-on-foot, kiosk, and revenue-control equipment; parking enforcement cameras and license plate recognition technologies; citation, permit, meter, inventory, and revenue-management software; remote management and virtual-attendant functions; cloud-hosted or on-premises solutions; and related implementation, integration, maintenance, warranty, technical support, and lifecycle-management services. The solution should integrate with the City's Teller Cashiering system, with a stated preference for Elavon credit-card processing. Respondents are asked to provide information on technologies, implementation considerations, risks, pricing and commercial models, lifecycle costs, and recommendations to support a future formal procurement.
