Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting recurring third-party elevator inspection and testing services for elevators at five VA Palo Alto Health Care System locations in Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Livermore, Mountain View, and Sunnyvale, California. The work includes ASME A17.1, A17.2, and A17.3-compliant six-month, 12-month, 36-month, and 60-month inspections and testing, including at least one five-year inspection per elevator during the first contract year. The contractor must provide qualified ASME/NAESA inspectors, equipment such as a calibrated tachometer and dynamometer, transportation, management, and all other necessary resources. The elevator maintenance company will provide technicians and weights for testing under the inspector’s supervision. The contractor must provide inspection reports, campus summary sheets, elevator-specific checklists, certificates, deficiency documentation, recommendations, and searchable electronic and hard-copy reports. The solicitation requires technical qualifications, licenses and certifications, at least five years of certified elevator-inspection experience, past-performance information, completed pricing, and amendment acknowledgment. The contract is a firm-fixed-price, 100% SDVOSB set-aside with a base year plus four option years. Subcontracting is not permitted.
