Description
The Auraria Higher Education Center, on behalf of the Community College of Denver, is seeking a qualified moving contractor for the Boulder Creek Health & Science Center project. The scope includes relocating seven health sciences programs from two existing campuses into the new facility, including classroom furnishings, office contents, instructional materials, furniture, and specialized medical, laboratory, imaging, and research equipment. The contractor must provide comprehensive planning and execution services, including labor, supervision, vehicles, packing materials, reusable moving totes, transportation, phased scheduling, room-by-room placement, and coordination with the college, project representatives, equipment vendors, manufacturer-certified technicians, and subcontractors as needed. Specialized assets include X-ray systems, C-arms, mammography units, dental equipment, laboratory equipment, and other sensitive instructional equipment. Respondents must demonstrate at least three comparable specialized medical or laboratory equipment relocation projects completed within the past five years, provide a dedicated project manager, attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting and walkthrough, and submit a proposed move plan, staffing and resources, schedule affirmation, and completed pricing form. The project is anticipated to begin in October 2026, with some moves potentially beginning in late November and completion required by December 31, 2026.
