Description
Toronto Community Housing Corporation is establishing a roster of new vendors to provide moving services for tenants of Toronto Community Housing Corporation and Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation. Tenants will predominantly be senior citizens or people with disabilities, and services will be performed across the organization's social housing portfolio in Toronto. The scope includes coordinating moves; supplying new or gently used packing materials; packing and unpacking personal belongings; transporting household items using appropriately sized trucks and movers; protecting items during transit; disposing of packing materials offsite; pest-control inspection and sanitation procedures; and handling claims for lost or damaged items. Vendors must demonstrate relevant moving experience, company and fleet information, mover and driver training, operating procedures, cleaning and maintenance processes, claims procedures, cancellation and delay policies, and health and safety practices. Admission is to an ongoing roster with no guaranteed project volume; specific projects will be competed through later requests for quotations.
