Description
The Texas Department of Public Safety is soliciting bids for household moving and relocation services for employee promotional relocations throughout Texas. The contractor must relocate employees between residences anywhere in the state and provide labor, packing and unpacking, materials, equipment, transportation, trailers, itemized quotes and invoices, certified weighing, and delivery of household goods. Moves will be ordered on an as-needed basis, with no minimum compensation guaranteed. Pricing must be submitted as discounts from the Southwest Movers Association MAX 4 Tariff, along with rates for declared value exceeding $50,000. Bidders must have an active Texas Department of Motor Vehicles certificate authorizing intrastate operations and provide the certificate and USDOT numbers. The response must include at least three similar household-goods moving references demonstrating at least five years of related Texas experience, designated primary and secondary project leads, a completed subcontracting plan, required state forms and certifications, a project delivery plan, business continuity and disaster recovery information, and pricing in the mandatory schedule. The contract term is five years from the effective date, with anticipated performance from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2031.
