Description
Polk County Conservation Board is seeking a contractor to clear approximately 14 acres at Brenton Slough of unmarked trees, shrubs, woody vegetation, and miscellaneous debris. Work includes clearing and grubbing, complete removal of stumps and roots, hauling material off site for disposal, backfilling depressions, rough and finish grading, and site restoration while protecting marked desirable trees and existing infrastructure. The work is to begin on or around November 19, 2026, after authorization, and substantial completion is required by March 1, 2027. The solicitation requires a lump-sum quote, a performance bond and payment bond each equal to 100% of the contract amount, and insurance coverage including workers' compensation, commercial general liability, automobile liability, and applicable excess or umbrella coverage. The bid proposal form and bid form are included in the solicitation package.
