The New Bern Housing Authority is soliciting sealed bids for the Trent Court Building Demolition – Area A project. The work includes providing all labor, materials, and equipment to demolish and remove 12 existing multifamily residential buildings and one existing nonresidential office building, along with related work shown in the plans and project manual and required by applicable codes and authorities having jurisdiction. A pre-bid conference and site visit are scheduled, and contractors are strongly encouraged to inspect the vacant buildings. Bidders must hold the proper licenses required under North Carolina law and must address Section 3 economic-opportunity requirements under 24 CFR Part 135. The solicitation states that complete bid documents may be downloaded from the designer by qualified bidders or obtained in printed form from the designated reprographics provider.
