Description
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is seeking information from respondents interested in providing non-proprietary fire panel systems for the State of Iowa Capitol Complex. The State is researching alternatives to proprietary systems and wants information about available systems, capabilities, feasibility, providers, open standards, communication protocols, interoperability with third-party devices and existing building infrastructure, detection methods, alarm management, data logging, cybersecurity, reliability, installation, commissioning, maintenance, support, technician qualifications, training, compliance, scalability, product roadmaps, costs, licensing, warranties, liability, references, and case studies. Respondents should provide identifying and technical information, including three public-sector references, at least one case study demonstrating third-party device integration and non-proprietary operation, and any proposed pilot or demonstration. Responses will inform a future Request for Proposals and will not themselves result in a contract award.
