Description
Middle Smithfield Township is soliciting bids for the demolition and removal of the remaining building structure at 204 Great Bear Way Road. The work includes mobilization, temporary access and erosion and sediment controls, demolition, removal and lawful disposal of building materials, backfilling, site grading, removal of the temporary rock entrance, seeding, and revegetation. The work must comply with the Project Manual, applicable Pennsylvania prevailing-wage requirements, environmental controls, and construction safety requirements. Bids must include the electronic bid form and required supporting materials, including bid security, a bidder qualification statement, bidder acknowledgment, non-collusion affidavit, agreement of surety, Public Works Employment Verification Form, and nondiscrimination/sexual-harassment clause. The bid security must equal 10% of the bidder’s maximum bid price. The successful contractor must later provide 100% performance and payment bonds, a 10% maintenance bond, insurance, and complete the work within 90 calendar days for substantial completion and 180 calendar days for final completion after the Contract Times commence.
