Description
The City of Taylor is soliciting bids for demolition of the former Public Works and Utility Maintenance buildings at 1109 Porter Street, 1201 North Main Street, and 1424 North Main Street. The scope includes demolition of the building structures and the slabs or concrete directly beneath them, removal of the rear fence at 1201 North Main Street, and removal of all debris from the properties. Other concrete is to remain. The bidder must identify the name and address of the landfill or other destination where debris, concrete, and trash will be hauled. The bidder must obtain the required city demolition permits, although the City will pay permit costs, and coordinate the work with the Building Maintenance superintendent. The City has completed the asbestos survey and will perform asbestos abatement; utilities have been disconnected. All debris must be removed by November 30, 2026. Required bid materials include the purchaser information sheet, price sheet, W-9, City purchasing rider, HB 1295 and conflict-of-interest forms, and a certificate of insurance.
