Description
The City of Shreveport is soliciting a lump-sum bid for complete demolition of the abandoned D'Anna Brothers Produce site at 90 Market Street. The work includes demolition of the multi-story administration building and warehouse, concrete slabs, parking areas, site flatwork, foundations, below-grade construction, existing utilities within the work area, and the hydraulic elevator system. The contractor must remove and legally dispose of demolition waste, fill below-grade voids, perform rough grading, protect adjacent facilities and public ways, control dust and erosion, coordinate utility disconnections, and complete related turf restoration. The project manual states that asbestos abatement has already been completed and EPA clearance achieved. The estimated construction value is $300,000, with a 60-calendar-day completion period. A 5% bid bond is required; successful bidders are subject to performance, payment, and maintenance bond requirements based on the contract amount.
