Submission Instructions
Description
The City of Pontiac is soliciting applications from qualified organizations to provide eligible community-based public services under the Community Development Block Grant program for Program Years 2025–2026 and 2026–2027. Eligible activities include workforce development, public safety and crime prevention, senior services, health services, substance abuse prevention or treatment, education, homelessness prevention and housing stability, youth recreation, and food assistance. Proposed activities must primarily benefit low- and moderate-income Pontiac residents and must constitute a new service or a quantifiable increase to an existing service. Applicants must demonstrate community need, CDBG eligibility and national-objective compliance, measurable outputs and outcomes, organizational capacity, appropriate recordkeeping and reporting systems, and the ability to operate on a reimbursement basis. The application package includes a completed application, program budget and narrative, organizational and financial documentation, applicable support or funding documentation, and required certifications, affidavits, and acknowledgements. Funding is available at up to $172,407 for Program Year 2025–2026 and $175,000 for Program Year 2026–2027; funding for one year does not guarantee funding for the next.
