Description
Huron Valley Schools, in partnership with the CoPro+ cooperative purchasing program managed by the Public Procurement Institute of Michigan, is establishing a statewide cooperative contract and prequalified vendor pool for ice melt products. The district uses approximately 2,200 50-pound bags annually, but no minimum purchase quantity is guaranteed. Products must be labeled safe for vegetation when used as directed, suitable for concrete sidewalks and school entrances, and supported by manufacturer documentation identifying chemical composition, effective temperature range, corrosion characteristics, vegetation-safety claims, Safety Data Sheets, and technical specifications. Vendors must provide delivered pricing by product and bag size, including minimum-order and delivery-fee information, and must support as-needed orders to approximately 17 district facilities and participating agency locations. Proposals must address ordering, delivery, emergency response, customer service, reporting, and communication capabilities. The contract term is three years with two one-year renewal options; multiple vendors may be selected, and additional qualified vendors may be added during the contract period. Vendors must provide at least three similar client references from the past five years, complete the required response sections and certifications, and submit a current W-9 and notarized disclosure and non-collusion materials.
