Description
The City of Pontiac is soliciting proposals to establish one or more contracts for as-needed routine, urgent, and emergency repair, replacement, maintenance, and related services at City-owned, leased, operated, or maintained facilities. The scope includes pedestrian, hollow metal, aluminum storefront, wood, steel, overhead, sectional, rolling steel, coiling, counter, and specialty doors; frames and hardware; automatic operators; glass and glazing systems; storefront and curtain wall components; emergency board-up and temporary securing; inspections; field measurements; troubleshooting; written recommendations; and cost estimates. Contractors must furnish supervision, labor, tools, equipment, transportation, materials, permits, and expertise, and must meet stated response times of two hours for emergencies, 24 hours for urgent requests, and three to five business days for routine work. Proposals must address company qualifications, relevant experience, project personnel, service approach, safety and quality-control procedures, coordination with City personnel and other trades, subcontractor management, local workforce participation, financial and bonding capability, references, and unit pricing for labor, material and equipment markups, mobilization, board-up, and glazing repair. The contract term is three years with one one-year renewal option, and the City does not guarantee a minimum amount of work.
