Description
The City of Pontiac is soliciting a contractor for a multi-year, on-call unit-price contract covering roadway guardrail and bridge abutment crash attenuator work at various locations under the City's jurisdiction. Services include removal and lawful disposal of existing guardrail, terminals, anchorages, and impact attenuators; furnishing and installing new galvanized guardrail systems, MASH-compliant terminals and crash attenuators; repair or reset of damaged attenuators; excavation, foundations, backfill, grading, restoration, cleanup, and temporary traffic control. The contractor must comply with current Michigan Department of Transportation standards and plans, AASHTO MASH requirements, the Michigan Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, and applicable Road Commission for Oakland County requirements. Proposals require company qualifications and experience, three comparable project references completed within the last five years, key personnel and subcontractor information, a certificate of insurance, completed and signed bid tabulation with unit prices, estimated completion time, addenda acknowledgment, and responses to the vendor questionnaire. The contract term is two years with one one-year renewal option.
