Description
The City of Pontiac is seeking proposals from qualified organizations to develop, implement, and manage a coordinated Community Kitchen Access and Management Program. The purpose is to increase access to licensed commercial kitchen facilities for food entrepreneurs, caterers, food truck operators, specialty food producers, nonprofits, and other food-related businesses. The selected contractor will establish and administer a centralized kitchen-sharing network that connects kitchen owners with qualified users, streamlines the reservation process, promotes equitable access, and supports the growth of Pontiac's local food economy. The scope of services includes: identifying and assessing licensed commercial kitchen facilities; conducting outreach to kitchen owners; developing a comprehensive inventory; recruiting partners from churches, schools, community centers, restaurants, and nonprofits; recruiting and assisting eligible users; developing or implementing a centralized scheduling and management platform with online registration, kitchen profiles, search, reservation scheduling, calendar management, and reporting; and collecting data on program performance for continuous improvement. The contract term is three years with one one-year option to renew.
