Description
Oakland County Purchasing Division is soliciting a one-time purchase of 22 ballistic plates, or 11 front-and-back sets, for the Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Team. The clarified quantity is one small set, two medium sets, and eight large sets. Plates must be NIJ 0101.06 certified, Type III, rated for 7.62 x 51mm M80 ammunition, and provide special-threat protection against 7.62 x 39mm PS Ball and 5.56 x 45mm M193 ammunition. Required characteristics include polyethylene composite construction, shooter's-cut shape and curve, specified SAPI sizing and approximate weights, and a five- to 10-year warranty. Equivalent or better products may be offered, with product specification sheets included. The response is an electronic bid submitted through the procurement portal. Bidders must complete Attachment B in its entirety, including pricing by plate size and five-year and 10-year options. This is a one-time purchase resulting in a purchase order.
