Description
Oakland University is soliciting a qualified, highly experienced parking management and valet company to provide onsite management of visitor, staff, and volunteer parking lots, direct traffic, and provide valet services for special events at Meadow Brook Hall. The contractor will supervise trained attendants, provide a daily manager, supply approved signage and safety equipment, and maintain activity and incident reports. The primary requirement is the Holiday Light Show, expected to operate for more than 20 evenings during November and December, with services generally scheduled from 4:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Valet services may also be requested for other special events throughout the year. Proposals must include an action plan, qualifications and experience, three references for similar services performed within the last five years, pricing, and the required signed RFP response and schedules. A Q&A update states that 2024 and 2025 attendance records are being provided, with vehicle counts unavailable and 2025 attendance affected by weather. The agreement runs from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2031.
