Description
The City of Southfield is soliciting bids for the professional design, printing, bindery, mailing preparation, and distribution of its 2027 annual report/calendar. The required quantity is 43,500 copies, with a possible 5% overrun, consisting of a 36-page calendar plus cover and an 8-page advertising insert. Specifications include four-color CMYK printing, specified gloss paper stocks, aqueous coating, high-resolution color proofs, saddle-stitching, a separately stitched center insert, trimming, and a centered 1/8-inch hanging hole. The selected printer must provide in-house four-color, single-pass press capability, complete all printing and bindery work in-house, and provide professional graphic design, layout, proofreading, quality control, and design proofs based on City-supplied materials and direction. No brokers, subcontractors, or other third parties are accepted. The printer must be located within 50 miles of Southfield City Hall, provide an in-house equipment list and a physical dummy using the specified paper, and complete production within 17 calendar days after final press-ready file approval. Finished copies must be prepared for mail sorting and delivered in specified batches to the post office and City Hall.
