Description
Oakland Schools is soliciting firm prime contractor bids for renovation of the NAIS laboratory at its Southeast Technical Campus. The work is divided into multiple trade proposals, including concrete, masonry, carpentry, overhead and sectional doors, glazing, drywall and ceilings, flooring, painting, visual display units, signage, roller window shades, laboratory casework and fume hoods, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work. The project includes demolition and installation of building systems and finishes; laboratory casework, fume hoods, countertops, fixtures, and accessories; HVAC equipment, controls, testing and balancing; plumbing and fuel-gas work; fire suppression modifications; electrical power, lighting controls, structured cabling, card readers, and fire alarm systems; and associated closeout, warranty, testing, permitting, cleanup, and coordination requirements. Bids must be submitted on the furnished forms in duplicate, with required certifications and notarized affidavits. A 5% bid guarantee is required for proposals exceeding $31,321, and successful bidders with contracts exceeding $50,000 must provide 100% payment and performance bonds.
