Description
The Charter Township of West Bloomfield is seeking a contractor to provide snow removal and salting services at township facilities, including the civic center complex, police department, town hall, libraries, sidewalks, safety paths, civic center boulevard, emergency access drive, and fire stations. Services include automatic snow response at specified accumulation thresholds, clearing parking lots, sidewalks, walkways, and access routes, applying salt, magnesium chloride, or an approved alternative, and providing on-call fire-station salting. The contractor must provide the equipment and personnel needed to meet specified response and completion times, including police department availability within one hour of notification and early-morning clearing deadlines for public facilities. The proposal must include bidder information, relevant public-agency or business references, pricing on the provided bid tabulation, proposed deicing products and product literature, and the required Iran-linked-business certification. A current insurance coverage copy must be attached to the bid; proof of required insurance coverage is also required before contract execution. The contract is for one year from the effective date, with two optional one-year renewal periods.
