Description
The City seeks providers to deliver American Sign Language interpretation for Deaf, Blind, and hard-of-hearing constituents and city employees. Services may support government and staff meetings, interviews and training, grievances and disciplinary matters, presentations, legal matters, and television or digital communications. Both on-site and remote interpreting are required, including use of video-conferencing platforms for virtual assignments. Providers must accommodate regular-hours, after-hours, weekend, short-notice, and emergency requests, maintain a 24-hour emergency contact line, and support an estimated 30–50 requests per month. Respondents must demonstrate at least five years of similar experience, provide qualified interpreters meeting Michigan certification standards, and submit interpreter credentials and a list of available interpreters. The proposal package includes a respondent questionnaire, technical approach, rate sheet, required bid forms, and agreement to the model professional services contract. The anticipated contract term is two years; the City may make one or multiple awards.
