Description
The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment is soliciting as-needed translation and interpretation services. The scope includes standard and premium general translation, webpage and online-document translation, scientific and technical document translation, general editing and proofreading, linguistic quality assurance, and real-time interpretation delivered in person, by telephone, or virtually. Requested languages include Arabic, Armenian, Cambodian (Khmer), German, Hmong, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Mixteco, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Samoan, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Tagalog, Traditional Chinese, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, and Zapotec, among others. The contractor must support accessible translated materials, provide electronic deliverables, accommodate turnaround periods ranging from three to fifteen business days and rush requests, and supply qualified language professionals. The solicitation requires at least five years of company experience in translation and interpretation services, including two years with a public entity, and qualified translators or interpreters with specified scientific-subject experience. The agreement budget may not exceed $97,500 and is structured around fiscal-year rates from November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2029.
