Description
Wayne-Westland Community School District seeks ongoing maintenance and upgrades for its outside-plant private fiber-optic network serving district facilities. Work includes inspecting the existing plant, coordinating utility-locate requests, repairing or replacing single-mode fiber as needed, emergency and scheduled maintenance, and supplying, connecting, testing, documenting, and warranting operational links. The contractor must also provide network coordination and a condition inspection and report during the agreement. An alternate requests testing of existing fiber terminations and a report with repair estimates for noncompliant fibers. Bids must include the required bid forms, three recent similar-project references, shop drawings and diagrams, technical submittals, and a schedule of values. The bid package requires a sealed hard-copy response and an electronic copy on USB; the schedule of values must also be provided as a Microsoft Excel-compatible spreadsheet. A 5% bid security is required. The agreement is for 36 months beginning July 1, 2027, with an owner option to extend by 12 or 24 months.
