Description
The State of Rhode Island is soliciting bids for Interpreting and Translation Services through Master Price Agreement (MPA) 54. This agreement will cover three categories: Interpreting and Translation Services, Language Proficiency Testing Services, and On-Demand Telephonic Interpreting Services. Services include oral and written interpretation, translation, and translation review. For medical and legal services, specific certifications are required. Language proficiency testing services will be provided through various methods including Oral Proficiency Interview by Computer (OPIc), Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI), Writing Proficiency Test (WPT), and Reading Proficiency Test (RPT). On-demand telephonic interpreting services will be available 24/7 in over 200 languages. Vendors must adhere to strict confidentiality, impartiality, and professional demeanor standards. Background checks may be required for personnel assigned to this contract.
