Description
The District seeks contractors to remove and replace designated roof areas at Cass Technical High School, Emerson Elementary-Middle School, Priest Elementary-Middle School, and Clippert Academy. Work includes roofing labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision; roof removal and substrate preparation; installation of fully adhered nominal 60-mil EPDM systems and asphalt shingle systems where specified; associated insulation, underlayment, flashing, sheet metal, and roof-drain work; and required testing and closeout. The specifications also address asbestos-containing materials, prevailing wages, and, at Cass Technical High School, coordination to remove, protect, reinstall, and commission the existing solar photovoltaic system. Bids must include a separate price for each building and the required allowances. The District may award separate contracts by building. The work is to be completed between June 1 and August 13, 2027. A mandatory site walkthrough is scheduled for October 29, 2026; the pre-bid conference on October 28, 2026, is optional.
