Description
The City of Chowchilla is soliciting bids for construction of new pickleball courts at Edward Ray Park. The base work includes mobilization and demolition; reinforced concrete pickleball courts with synthetic acrylic surfacing, striping, and approximately 4,864 square feet of court area; court lighting and electrical systems; turf restoration; pickleball court equipment; a concrete walkway and swale; and related excavation, grading, subgrade preparation, drainage, backfill, and cleanup. Additive alternates include additional perimeter concrete, removal and reinstallation of chain-link fencing, new chain-link fencing, and a new gate. The project requires a California Class A contractor's license, California Department of Industrial Relations registration, prevailing-wage compliance, a bid guarantee of at least 10% of the bid amount, and post-award performance and labor-and-materials bonds each equal to 100% of the contract price. The engineer's estimate is $189,499, and the stated completion period is 180 working days for the base bid, increasing to 185 or 190 working days if the alternates are awarded.
