Description
The City of Milledgeville is soliciting bids to demolish and replace approximately 40 feet by 40 feet of deteriorated concrete pavement at the upper L1 ramp of Fire Station 1. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits if required, disposal, traffic and pedestrian safety measures, and site restoration. The work includes subgrade excavation and compaction, installation of reinforcing steel, doweling into existing pavement, a minimum six-inch reinforced concrete slab, drainage, joints, and a smooth transition to the adjacent asphalt. Work must protect the active emergency-response facility and maintain safe access throughout construction. Bidders must provide a lump-sum base bid, a separate price for fiber-reinforced concrete, an estimated start date, project duration, construction schedule, curing time, access-interruption mitigation measures, confirmation that the pavement supports the fire department ladder truck, warranty information, proof of insurance and applicable licensing, documented experience, and three references or reference letters. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is required. The submission package must include the bid sheet, bid response signature page, addenda acknowledgment, contractor affidavit and agreement, and the required experience and reference information.
