Description
Sarasota County is seeking qualified roofing contractors for on-demand roof replacement and recovering services at County-owned or operated facilities, including office buildings, warehouses, water plants, jails, courthouses, clinics, fire stations, and parks and recreation facilities. The work may include asphalt shingle, modified bituminous protected membrane, thermoplastic, and other routine roofing systems, along with all required labor, materials, equipment, transportation, permits, protection of property, debris removal, inspections, warranties, and related incidentals. The County intends to establish a pre-qualified pool of contractors under an anticipated three-year term contract. Individual projects will be quoted through the County's procurement portal and awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible contractor. Contractors must be licensed roofing contractors, provide at least three qualifying project references from the past seven years—including one governmental project with a minimum construction cost of $250,000—and perform at least 51% of each purchase order with their own organization. Work may involve secure County and judicial facilities, requiring applicable personnel background checks and security procedures. The solicitation requires a minimum two-year labor warranty and 20-year materials warranty, as well as workers' compensation, commercial general liability, business automobile liability, and umbrella or excess liability insurance.
