Description
Hillsborough County Facilities Management and Real Estate Services Department is soliciting competitive sealed bids for a four-year, as-needed term contract to restore pavement surfaces and parking elements at County facilities and park sites. Work may include milling and overlaying asphalt parking lots, applying emulsified asphalt sealer, installing or replacing wheel stops and traffic signs, and installing or replacing pavement markings and striping. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, and equipment and perform work through individual Work Orders. The estimated contract award amount is $6,000,000, although actual usage is not guaranteed. Work Orders will generally range from $10,000 to $150,000. The contractor must be a properly licensed general or building contractor, specialize in asphalt paving, own or provide the required paving equipment, demonstrate relevant non-residential commercial or institutional experience, maintain a local office in Hillsborough County or one of four adjacent counties, and provide a qualified superintendent. The solicitation includes a 5% Small Business Enterprise subcontracting goal, a 5% bid bond, 100% performance and payment bonds after award, and extensive insurance requirements.
